Getting Started - One Year to go

If your wedding is going to be in June, July or August, you should definitely book your florist at least a year in advance. This is the busiest time for wedding flowers. If you choose Flower Sensation Too remember we only take on 1 large wedding or 2 smaller weddings on any given date. This is so we can give every wedding our utmost attention.

Getting Started - Your Consultation

If you want Flower Sensation Too to be your florist of choice, consultations can take place in your own home, on weekday evenings, after work or dinner, so that you will feel more at ease. If you are free or would prefer a daytime appointment at your wedding venue, this is also something that we are happy to accommodate.

This far in advance, colours may not have been chosen. This is not a problem for Flower Sensation Too. What we need at this stage are ideas from you to work from. So when the consultation is booked, you could have made a scrap book of pictures and favourite flowers that you may want to use.

If you have no ideas, do not fret! We always come armed with books and magazines that you can take time to look through. We will also bring our laptop with our Flower Sensation Too website that has our most up to date wedding flowers displayed. We have never come away from a consultation without inspiring our future brides. We also come with a sense of humour that will make your consultation a happy and relaxed occasion.

Following your consultation, a quote will be sent via email and posted to you. Should you want to book our services for your wedding, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required at this time to secure your day with Flower Sensation Too.

The Intermediate Months

Something that Flower Sensation Too prides itself on, is listening to our brides. During the months from booking your wedding and the BIG DAY, if there is anything you want to discuss, change or ask advice about, we will always give you our time and help.

In the intervening months, brides change their minds on various issues. This is not a problem. We can meet again, or stay in touch by phone or email.

If you book us a year ahead, you will be emailed in the January of your wedding year to let you know the countdown time, and that we are still on hand to help you.

As often happens when planning a wedding, numbers of people attending your wedding will go up and down. This will perhaps change the number of table decorations, bridesmaids bouquets or buttonholes required. Do not think this is a problem. Up to 3 weeks before the wedding you can change numbers freely. If any changes to your quote are required, the balance will be changed, and a new quote will be sent via email and posted at the time of the change. In doing this there is an ongoing rapport between the bride and Flower Sensation Too.

Three Weeks to your Wedding

At this point the balance of your wedding flowers payment is due. This is because it is at this time that we place our advance orders with the growers.

One Week to your Wedding

By now Flower Sensation Too will have either been to your venue (if it is new to us), or been in touch with the venue to speak with your co-ordinator. We then phone you, or meet to confirm delivery details. In our experience, any earlier, and things could change and make you panic. The timings are crucial to your wedding and your peace of mind. We ask questions like:

• When is the photographer arriving?
• Are you having photos at the house before you leave?

If there are any last minute questions you want to ask, you can phone or email us.

Two Days before your Wedding

Your flowers are delivered fresh from the growers to our Workshop. We begin to make your bouquets, buttonholes, table arrangements and pedestals to your specification.

The Wedding Day arrives!

On the big day we ensure timely delivery of your wedding flowers. Our temperature controlled van ensures your flowers arrive in perfect condition. We carry out all preparation and setup at your venue(s). You should now be confident that all aspects of your wedding day will come together. Try to relax and enjoy what has taken many months of organising. Take time during the day to step back from things and take a look at how your endeavours during the organisation have come to fruition. Look at peoples faces and see the smiles. It has all been worth it!!

After your Wedding

We know you will have been happy with your flowers!

It is always good to get positive feedback, so if you have something to share with us and future brides, please let us know. This includes a photo of you holding your bouquet. This will be put on the Flower Sensation Too website, with your permission.
